The key issue that city dwellers identify related to the future of urban life is population pressure. Many fear that massive population growth will upset the urban balance. But even so, city dwellers are optimistic about urban growth, in general, and growth in their own city, in particular. Paradoxically, however, they are concerned that their urban living conditions will decline.
